Scalextric parties at The Dragon are a great, fun way to celebrate your special occasion, bringing family, friends and work mates together for an afternoon/evening of racing silliness.

When can I book The Racing Room for my party?

Between 2pm and 7pm (last party slot of the day) Monday to Sunday. 



(*Excludes Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day )

How many people can race?

To ensure everyone gets plenty of race time we recommend a maximum of 10 racers for a 1 hour booking and 2 hours for a maximum of 20 racers . If your party is larger than 20 people, contact us to discuss your requirements and we can tailor a party package to suit.

Who can race?

Adults 18 years and over are welcome to book a party any time of the day. For children's parties we recommend afternoons up until 5pm and are restricted to a maximum of 10 children per party.

What will happen on the day?

On arrival each guest is given a driver briefing and some time to practice their racing skills. A racing tournament is then drawn up with 6 guests racing simultaneously in each race. Each guest will race in at least 6 races, accumulating points throughout the tournament and concluding with a presentation of medals for the top 3 winners. It's a bit like a mini F1 season crammed into an afternoon/evening.

For very small parties we are able to add special features to the game play, such as fuel loads and pit stops, endurance racing and qualifying.

Do I need to do anything in preparation?

Before you arrive for your party we will need a list of drivers names so we can input them into the race management system in preparation for the tournament. These can be real names or fun, made up names, it's up to you.

How much does it cost to hire? 

£95 per hour

No deposit is required, just pay on the day!

Are food & refreshments available for my party?

The Dragon stocks a great range of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks,

The Dragon does not serve food, however there are tons of fabulous eateries nearby that would be happy to feed you and your party.

Awesome night out, great fun and you don't need to be an expert to play!!
